Are you Emergency Ready?

3/26/2021 (Permalink)

Disaster and emergencies always strike without warning. Disasters seem to happen when you least expect. What if, you were on at lunch or on vacation and disaster struck, would you know who to call? Would you be able to direct a panicked employee though the steps to turn off gas or water from a phone? No one plans on a disaster, but you can plan for it.

Preparation is a key component for making it through any size disaster, whether it is a small water leak, a large fire, or an area flood. The best time to plan for such events is not when the event happens, but well before it happens.

By working with SERVPRO of Wilson/Nashville to develop your personalized Emergency READY Profile your business will receive the benefit of over 40 years of experience in reducing the impact of any natural or man-made disaster.  SERVPRO® is a leader in water and fire damage response and can help you quickly get your property back in working order.

Specialized Products

The CDC recommends usage of a labeled hospital-grade disinfectant with claims against similar pathogens to the coronavirus. Multiple products in the SERVPRO product line carry the EPA-approved emerging pathogens claims. While there is currently no product tested against this particular strain of the coronavirus, we are following all guidelines as provided by the CDC and local authorities.

Biohazard Clean Up After Animal Intruders

2/24/2020 (Permalink)

Cats, birds, and rodents are the most common intruders to a home or business. Common places that these animals could hide are in your attic, basement, vent system, or chimney. Animal fecal matter is considered hazardous waste and should be disposed of by a professional. There are many excellent resources available for locating information about a particular illness or disease. You can also call your local Health Department for more information.

Should an unwelcome animal enter your home, it is advised that you do not attempt to remove the animal on your own. You could risk illness and injury not only to yourself, but to the animal as well. Contact Animal Control immediately.

SERVPRO of Wilson/Nashville specializes in removing, disposing of, and sanitizing materials that have been affected by animal waste, as well as removing any odor. Call us today to schedule a consult.
